Washington, D.C. – Congressman Adrian Smith (R-NE) invites high school students from across Nebraska's Third District to submit their artwork for the 2021 Congressional Art Competition by Friday, March 19.

"The Congressional Art Competition is an opportunity for young Third District artists to showcase their talents in the U.S. Capitol,"said Rep. Smith."I look forward to partnering with the Nebraska Art Teachers Association to review this year's submissions."

Washington, DC – Congressman Adrian Smith (R-NE) joined a bipartisan group of colleagues in cosponsoring a resolution celebrating National Future Farmers of America (FFA) Week as the week of February 20-27, 2021. The resolution recognizes the important role of the National FFA Organization in providing educational and career opportunities to students. The resolution celebrates more than 50 years of National FFA Alumni and Supporters with more than 8 million alumni worldwide and more than 760,000 members across the United States.

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Adrian Smith (R-NE) today announced the winner of the 2020 Congressional App Challenge for the Third District of Nebraska. The winning app will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol and featured on www.House.Gov.

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Adrian Smith (R-NE) today announced the winners of the 2020 Congressional Art Competition for the Third District of Nebraska.

Artwork by the first place winner will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol. The runners-up will have their art displayed in Rep. Smith's Washington, D.C., Grand Island, and Scottsbluff offices. Smith worked with the Nebraska Art Teachers Association to coordinate the competition.

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Adrian Smith (R-NE) is currently accepting nomination packets for nomination to the U.S. Military Academy (West Point, New York), U.S. Naval Academy (Annapolis, Maryland), U.S. Air Force Academy (Colorado Spring, Colorado), U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (Kings Point, New York), and the U.S. Coast Guard Academy (New London, Connecticut).

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Adrian Smith (R-NE) is currently accepting applications for the 2019-2020 Third District Youth Advisory Council and encourages rising juniors and seniors to submit their applications by June 28.

The Third District Youth Advisory Council is a forum for high school juniors and seniors to share opinions, thoughts, and concerns with Congressman Smith about local and federal issues throughout the school year. This group provides students the opportunity to discuss the concerns of young Nebraskans and give their input on issues facing our country.

As I travel the Third District and visit our schools, I never cease to be amazed at the intelligence and drive of our students. Their informed curiosity over key issues facing our country has left a particularly strong impression on me this summer and it is this curiosity I seek to nurture through my outreach efforts.
