Smith Announces 2020 Congressional App Challenge Winner

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Adrian Smith (R-NE) today announced the winner of the 2020 Congressional App Challenge for the Third District of Nebraska. The winning app will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol and featured on www.House.Gov.

The winning app, titled "Quick Mental Math," was created by Andy Vu, a junior at Kearney High School. According to Andy, he was inspired to create his app for his brother. During Coronavirus quarantine, he noticed his brother spending time learning math skills and using a lot of paper. He created Quick Mental Math to help his brother learn and do so through an environmentally friendly, convenient approach.
