Washington, DC – Congressman Adrian Smith (R-NE) will meet constituents of the Third District during a "mobile office" on Friday, August 17, from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. (M.D.T.) in Harrison.

A "mobile office" allows constituents to meet directly with Congressman Smith about federal issues and take advantage of the constituent services available through his office, such as assisting individuals with challenges they face while working with a federal agency, ordering flags flown over the U.S. Capitol, and booking tours in Washington, D.C.

Washington, DC – Congressman Adrian Smith (R-NE) issued the following statement after voting in favor of H.R. 6233, which would reauthorize a number of agriculture disaster programs.

“The bill passed by the House today would provide assistance to producers affected by the drought and wildfires devastating farms and ranches across Nebraska. Until the House and Senate come to an agreement on long-term farm policy, this legislation would ensure struggling producers are not left with more uncertainty.”

Washington, DC – Congressman Adrian Smith (R-NE) issued the following statement after voting in favor of H.R. 8, which would prevent the largest tax hike in American history when the current rates expire at the end of the year. Tomorrow, the House is expected to pass H.R. 6169, which would provide an expedited process for comprehensive tax reform in 2013. Congressman Smith, a member of the Committee on Ways and Means charged with rewriting the tax code, is an original co-sponsor of both bills.
