Washington, D.C.– Constituents of Third District Congressman Adrian Smith (R-NE) who need assistance dealing with a federal agency are invited to attend Caseworker in Your Community events on Thursday, June 14, in Fairbury and Beatrice.
With tax reform strengthening our economy and incentivizing job creation, we need to help more Americans achieve independence by bringing them off the sidelines and into the workforce. From this perspective, the economy is stronger than it has been in years. The unemployment rate is at its lowest level in nearly two decades and the number of open jobs is soaring while the fewest people since 1969 are receiving unemployment benefits.

Angels in Adoption, a project of the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute, provides Members of Congress the opportunity to honor an individual or entity from their districts for extraordinary contributions on behalf of children in need of homes.
Washington, D.C. – Congressman Adrian Smith (R-NE) will meet constituents of the Third District during a mobile office on Thursday, May 31 in Greeley to discuss issues such as tax reform, trade, immigration, and the Farm Bill.
A mobile office allows constituents to meet directly with Congressman Smith about federal issues and take advantage of the services available through his office.
Smith, who has offices in Grand Island and Scottsbluff, will hold the mobile office in Greeley on Thursday, May 31, at the following time and location:

At mobile offices, Third District residents can meet directly with one of Smith’s staff members about federal issues and take advantage of the services available through his office.
Each year on the last Monday in May we set aside a special time to remember those lost in defense of our great nation. These brave men and women are owed a supreme debt of gratitude by each and every American who enjoys the freedoms afforded by our way of life.

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Adrian Smith (R-NE), a member of the Committee on Ways and Means, spoke in opposition to an amendment to H.R.2 - Agriculture and Nutrition Act of 2018, also known as the Farm Bill, which would eliminate support for U.S. sugar producers and expose them to unfair trade practices.
“American farmers like ours in Nebraska’s Third District produce more products more efficiently than any other country in the world, if allowed to compete on a level playing field,” Smith said from the floor of the House.
Washington, D.C. – Congressman Adrian Smith (R-NE) encourages rising high school juniors and seniors to apply for the 2018-2019 Third District Youth Advisory Council by June 29.
The Third District Youth Advisory Council is a forum for juniors and seniors to share opinions, thoughts, and concerns with Congressman Smith through in-person meetings, online forums, and conference calls.
When Congress is not in session, I spend time traveling throughout our state to meet with hard working Nebraskans and hear their concerns. Nebraska’s Third District covers some 65,000 square miles, taking roughly nine hours to travel end to end, from Harrison to Falls City. In just the past few weeks, I’ve made stops in North Platte, Burwell, North Loup, Grand Island, Litchfield, Ravenna, Sumner, Falls City, Humboldt, Beatrice, York, Belvidere, Hebron, Bayard, Potter, Scottsbluff, Harrison, Alliance, and Crawford.
