Washington, D.C. – Congressman Adrian Smith, in conjunction with the offices of U.S. Senators Deb Fischer and Ben Sasse, will host the 2021 Virtual Third District Service Academy Open House on Thursday April 8, 2021.

This event is an opportunity for young people in Nebraska to learn more about the U.S. service academies and other opportunities for military service. High school and college students interested in military opportunities, as well as their families, are encouraged to attend.

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Adrian Smith (R-NE), along with his colleagues Representatives Lisa Blunt Rochester (D-DE), Derek Kilmer (D-WA), Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA), and Peter Welch (D-VT), introduced the Increasing Access to Quality Cardiac Rehabilitation Act of 2021. The bill would authorize physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and clinical nurse specialists, referred to as advanced practice providers, to begin supervising patients' day-to-day cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation care to expand patient access to cardiovascular services.

Washington, D.C. – Congressmen Adrian Smith (R-NE) and Jim Costa (D-CA) today along with Rodney Davis (R-IL), John Garamendi (D-CA), Dusty Johnson (R-SD), Troy Nehls (R-TX), Jimmy Panetta (D-CA), and Mike Thompson (D-CA), led a bipartisan group of colleagues in a letter to Michael A. Khouri, Chair of the Federal Maritime Commission, voicing concern over reports that certain vessel-operating common carriers (VOCCs) are declining to ship U.S. agricultural commodity exports from U.S. ports.

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Adrian Smith (R-NE), along with the co-chairs of the House Biofuels Caucus, introduced the Renewable Fuels Infrastructure Investment and Market Expansion Act and the Adopt GREET Act today. These two new pieces of legislation would increase access to biofuels for consumers and require the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) fully recognize their environmental benefits.

Washington, DC – Congressman Adrian Smith (R-NE) took to the floor of the House of Representatives today to speak in opposition of the proposed budget reconciliation ahead of the vote on the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. Smith voted against the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021.

Washington, DC – Congressman Adrian Smith (R-NE) joined a bipartisan group of colleagues in cosponsoring a resolution celebrating National Future Farmers of America (FFA) Week as the week of February 20-27, 2021. The resolution recognizes the important role of the National FFA Organization in providing educational and career opportunities to students. The resolution celebrates more than 50 years of National FFA Alumni and Supporters with more than 8 million alumni worldwide and more than 760,000 members across the United States.
