Congressman Adrian Smith (R-NE) joined 23 fellow House Ways and Means Committee members in sending a letter to Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew today to urge the Treasury Department to withdraw newly proposed regulations which would increase the Death Tax burden on family-owned businesses.

The United States once again did not make the list of the top ten freest economies in the world, according to the 2016 Index of Economic Freedom just released by the Heritage Foundation and the Wall Street Journal. Declining economic freedom cannot become the status quo for our great nation.
