Smith Votes to Repeal Out-of-Control Regulation
Washington, D.C. – Congressman Adrian Smith (R-NE) today issued the following statement after voting for the Protecting Jobs from Government Interference Act (H.R. 2587). H.R. 2587 would prohibit the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) from dictating where an employer can and cannot locate jobs in the United States. It passed the House of Representatives 238-186.
“Recent decisions by the NLRB are reflective of the regulatory handcuffs Washington has imposed on job creators,” Smith said. “Eliminating redundant, harmful, and burdensome regulations will provide the stability and certainty needed for economic recovery.”
The House of Representatives is pursuing a regulatory relief agenda which includes repeal of specific rules and fundamental reform to the rulemaking system.
