Smith Statement on Wellnitz Fires

Washington, DC – Congressman Adrian Smith (R-NE) issued the following statement today on the wildfires affecting Sheridan, Sioux, Dawes counties, known as the Wellnitz Fire:

"My thoughts and prayers are with those affected by the wildfires in Sheridan, Sioux and Dawes counties, and those working to extinguish the flames and prevent further damage. I stand ready to support or assist with any requests for federal assistance related to this or any natural disaster affecting the Third District.
