Gering, Neb. – Today, Rep. Adrian Smith (R-NE), released the following statement following the announcement of Boys Town National Executive Director and President Father Steven Boes' plans to retire after 18 years of service.

"Father Boes has made Nebraska and the world a better place through his extraordinary record of service," said Rep. Smith. "Since graduating from Elgin’s Pope John XXIII Central Catholic High School, he has spent his life serving others and advocating for youth in the welfare and juvenile justice systems. As director of St. Augustine Indian Mission School in Winnebago, NE, he worked to double the school’s capacity and empowered students to preserve their traditional culture.
