Smith Statement on Nebraska Winter Storms

Rep. Adrian Smith (R-NE), released the following statement on the ongoing extreme weather conditions across Nebraska:

“I am continuing to monitor conditions across Nebraska’s Third District, and I thank state and local officials — especially law enforcement and first responders — for their tireless efforts to protect the wellbeing of Nebraskans. I have spoken to Governor Pillen, and I commend him for his work and for swiftly declaring a state of emergency. I stand ready to work with our congressional delegation to support him at the federal level, particularly as we examine what resources are needed for Nebraska’s agriculture producers. I encourage all Nebraskans to stay safe and closely monitor and heed the advice of local officials.”
