Smith Statement on Hot Springs VA Report

Congressman Adrian Smith (R-NE) released the following statement on the draft Environmental Impact Statement for the reconfiguration of the VA Black Hills Health Care System.

“Travel time and access to care continue to be foremost concerns for western Nebraska veterans. I am troubled by the VA’s insistence on pressing forward with a plan veterans do not want, which would require those who need care most to drive an additional hour each way to receive it. I will be reviewing this study in detail and remain committed to ensuring our heroes have access to the care they deserve.”

Smith serves as chairman of the Rural Veterans Caucus.
