Smith Statement on Departure of NU President Ted Carter

Gering, Neb. – Today, Rep. Adrian Smith (R-NE), released the following statement following the announcement of University of Nebraska President Ted Carter's plans to resign at the end of 2023.

“The University of Nebraska system has greatly benefited from Vice Admiral Carter’s leadership," said Rep. Smith. "Thanks to his tireless work, NU has strengthened its leadership in education, research, and community impact. I wish him all the best at Ohio State, and I have confidence the Board of Regents will ensure a smooth transition so NU will continue to be a pillar of our great state.”
