Smith Statement on Birdeen Zier

WASHINGTON, DC - U.S. Representative Adrian Smith is saddened to announce the passing of his grandmother, Birdeen Zier of Gering, on January 5, 2011

"My grandmother was a wonderful, thoughtful, and community-minded person who held a special place in the hearts of those who knew her. She overcame many odds and her faith and patriotism were inspirational. She will be deeply missed," Smith said.
