Smith Statement on 15th Anniversary of 9/11

Congressman Adrian Smith (R-NE) released the following statement in recognition of the 15th anniversary of the terror attacks on September 11, 2001.

“Even as the years pass, we can never forget the heroism shown by so many Americans on September 11, 2001. In the midst of such horror, the strength of America brought hope to a grieved world.

“We remember the nearly 3,000 innocent lives lost that day, as well as the thousands of men and women in uniform who have given their lives in the fight against terrorism. In their memory, we must continue to embody the patriotism and unity Americans demonstrated in the aftermath of 9/11. We stand together against those who threaten our freedom and security.”
