Smith Remembers 9/11
September 9, 2011
Washington, D.C. – Congressman Adrian Smith (R-NE) today issued the following statement remembering the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.
“While time helps our nation heal, we will never forget the tragic events of that day. On one of the darkest days in our history the greatness of America was illuminated for the world to see. In disruption we found unity, in fear we found courage, and in grief we found hope,” Smith said. “May we always remember the nearly 3,000 innocent lives lost on 9/11, their loved ones, and the men and women in uniform who today continue to fight for our freedom.”
