Smith Receives Spirit of Enterprise Award

March 12, 2014

Congressman Adrian Smith (R-NE) is a recipient of the prestigious Spirit of Enterprise Award from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. The award is recognition of Congressman Smith’s support of pro-growth, pro-jobs policies during the first session of the 113th Congress.

“Nebraskans know we must rewind regulations and reduce the heavy hand of government in order to jumpstart our economy which continues to stagger,” said Congressman Smith. “I am honored to be recognized by the U.S. Chamber, and I will continue to seek solutions to spur private sector economic and job growth.”

“2013 was challenging, but Congressman Smith worked to pass legislation and enact policies that will keep our country moving forward economically,” U.S. Chamber President and CEO Thomas J. Donohue said. “The Spirit of Enterprise Award recognizes legislators like Congressman Smith who have demonstrated their commitment to supporting pro-growth policies in the 113th Congress.”

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is the world’s largest business federation representing the interests of more than 3 million businesses of all sizes, sectors, and regions, as well as state and local chambers and industry associations.
