Smith Receives Community Health Advocate Award

March 17, 2016

Congressman Adrian Smith (R-NE) received the 2016 Community Health Advocate Award today from the Health Center Association of Nebraska for his support of Nebraska’s health centers.

“Nebraska’s community health centers, including two in the Third District, are able to reach those in greatest need while spending fewer dollars per patient than other providers,” Smith said. “I applaud their ability to responsibly manage resources and provide high quality, affordable care to the communities they serve.”

“On behalf of Nebraska’s seven federally qualified health centers, we would like to thank Rep. Smith for his ongoing support of community health centers,” said Andrea Skolkin, Health Center Association of Nebraska board president. “This award represents his distinguished work on our behalf.”

Smith serves on the House Ways and Means Committee and its Health Subcommittee.
