Smith Announces 2012 Summer Interns
Washington, DC – Congressman Adrian Smith (R-NE) today announced Justin Sheldon and Abby McConnaughhay, will serve as summer interns in his Grand Island office.
“I’m thrilled to have Abby and Justin joining us, and I look forward to working with them. They are both motivated, disciplined, and dedicated, which will help them serve the people of the Third District,” Smith said.
Sheldon and McConnaughhay will assist in a variety of office tasks including research, data entry, news gathering, and attending meetings with Smith and staff members Sheldon is a senior at the University of Nebraska-Kearney where he is majoring in business administration with a minor in economics. He is a native of Lexington, NE. McConnaughhay is a 1L (First Year) student at the University of Nebraska College of Law and obtained her undergraduate degree from Creighton University. McConnaughhay is a native of Hastings, NE.
In addition, Congressman Smith announced Scott Hueschen will serve as summer intern in his Washington, DC office.
“I’m glad to have Scott joining our team, and I look forward to working with him. Scott is a driven and committed student, who will give the people of the Third District the highest degree of service,” Smith said.
Hueschen will assist in a variety of office tasks including research, data entry, news gathering, guiding constituents on Capitol tours, processing flag requests, and attending meetings with Smith and staff members. Scott recently completed his first year at the University of Nebraska College of Law. He is from Platte Center and is a 2011 graduate of Nebraska Wesleyan University.
