Rep. Smith Meets with Singapore Ambassador to Discuss Trade

February 7, 2011

WASHINGTON, DC - Congressman Adrian Smith (R-NE) met today with Chan Heng Chee, Ambassador of the Republic of Singapore to the United States. During the meeting, Smith and Chan discussed critical trade issues facing our country.

"It was great to sit down with Ambassador Chan today to discuss the very important trade issues facing our country," Smith said. "Working to restore America's economic strength through a proactive trade agenda is my main priority as a member of the House Ways and Means Subcommittee on Trade. Most importantly, expanding trade of Nebraska goods in the Asia-Pacific region is critical to ensuring our agriculture producers have access to new markets for their goods and services."
