Reminder: Smith to Host Infrastructure Seminar this Thursday in Hastings
Washington, D.C. – Congressman Adrian Smith (R-NE) will host an educational Infrastructure Seminar at Hastings Central Community College on October 3, 2019.
At the educational Infrastructure Seminar, Third District residents and officials will be able to hear from a wide variety of Nebraska officials and stakeholders on the current state of infrastructure, plans for the future, and resources available to communities; Panel topics will include: "Workforce, Trade Skills Education, Economic Development," "Rural Housing Development and Access Opportunities," "Water and Energy Management and Infrastructure," "Surface Transportation and Heavy Equipment," and "Rural Broadband and Community Development."
Guest speakers include officials from the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce & Industry, United States Department of Agriculture, Nebraska REALTORS Association, Nebraska Department of Transportation, and Nebraska Trucking Association, among others. The keynote speaker will be Brian J. Fouch, Director, Office of Preconstruction, Construction, And Pavements, United States Department of Transportation.
Smith, who has offices in Grand Island and Scottsbluff, is hosting the seminar at the following time and location:
