Smith to Host International Trade Event
Washington, D.C. - Congressman Adrian Smith (R-NE), who serves on the Committee on Ways and Means and its Subcommittee on Trade, today announced he will host Export 2011 on Wednesday, June 29 in Grand Island. Export 2011 is a free event to share information about the benefits of international trade for farmers, ranchers, manufacturers, and small businesses.
“Open markets are critical to Nebraska’s economic development,” Smith said. “Export 2011 will provide critical information about how Nebraska’s businesses, both large and small, can take advantage of the opportunities created by access to new and emerging international markets. I encourage anyone interested in entering new markets with their products to attend.”
Export 2011 will feature speakers from select federal agencies and successful exporters from Nebraska’s Third District discussing topics which include competing in the global marketplace, economic analysis of trade, barriers to trade, and doing business in China.
