Smith Welcomes Nebraska Vietnam Veterans to Nation’s Capital

Congressman Adrian Smith (R-NE) greeted the Nebraska Vietnam Flight and the Hall County Vietnam Hero Flight this morning at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C.

More than 650 veterans traveled from Nebraska as part of the Nebraska Vietnam Flight, and nearly 100 veterans took part in the Hall County Vietnam Hero Flight.

“Seeing hundreds of Vietnam veterans from Nebraska gathered in Washington, D.C., was incredible,” Smith said. “These heroes are finally getting the thanks and cheers they deserve, and I was honored to help welcome them this morning. All those who have worked tirelessly to plan these hero flights certainly deserve our gratitude as well.”
